FREE Warm Mt. Tam Cheese Torte Recipe

This makes an excellent after-dinner cheese course, or try it as an hors d'oeuvre to serve with Sherry and crackers or thinly sliced baguette. The recipe is easily halved for a smaller group.

1 (10-ounce) wheel Organic Mt. Tam cheese
2 tablespoons black currant or black cherry fruit spread
2 tablespoons chopped Marcona almonds

Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice cheese in half, making two rounds. Place rounds rind-side down on a small baking sheet. Spread 1 tablespoon of the jam over the top of each layer and sprinkle almonds evenly over the tops. Bake just until cheese is warmed but not runny, 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer cheese to a platter and serve with crackers or baguette slices.
